Wisteria frutescens --Texas Wisteria--

Climbing woody vine up to 25' at full maturity. Long flower clusters up to 9" fill the air nearby with heady fragrance. Blooms cover the plant in May-June, and sporadically for the rest of the summer and fall. Sun to part-shade, enjoys a south-facing, sheltered location during winter. Attracts butterflies. Prune well to encourage growth and blooms.
