ARTICHOKE 'Colorado Red Star'

Easier than other artichokes, and the red color helps protect it from extremes of heat and cold. Can "fruit" (really a bloom) in the first year! This came from a cross of Imperial Star with traditional Peruvian purple varieties. 2-3' tall, overwinters well, but blooms without having to be exposed to cold. Gorgeous!
