KALE 'Willem's Blauwe Groninger'
KALE 'Willem's Blauwe Groninger'
What a cool kale! Originating in North Holland (its name means "Blue from Groningen", it is incredibly cold hardy, usually survives through winter & keeps sprouting in spring. Delicious with a lightly spicy flavor, gorgeous purple leaves, and excellent qualities for a salad kale! Ribs are great pickled, and whole plant including later flower stalks are great cooked. Super uniform and productive kale that gets tastier and purpler after the first frost.
