MELON 'Banana Cantaloupe'

Oval melons with deeply ribbed yellow skin and insides - cut slices look like bananas - and incredibly fragrant, sweet orange flesh that even smells a bit like bananas! A farmers' market favorite heirloom since 1885. Vines produce 3-6 fruit each, 5-8 pounds per fruit. Longer shelf life than other melons, and thinner skin so more of the melon can be eaten. Vines grow quite fast and are compact. 85 days.
