MELON 'Pepino' --Solanum muricatum--
MELON 'Pepino' --Solanum muricatum--
Couldn't load pickup availability
AKA 'melon pear', deceptively appearing and tasting like a baby honeydew melon, Pepino is actually related to eggplants! Fruit is common in South America but doesn't travel well, so it's unusual to find this treat in grocery stores in the states. Can be overwintered indoors. Get rare this year! Commonly eaten fresh, the pepino's flesh is so soft and juicy it makes a quick and easy treat. 70-90 days, OP.
