Asclepias curassavica --Silky Gold Milkweed--

AKA "Golden Butterflyweed" - this is a pretty all-yellow variety of tropical milkweed. A preferred host to the Monarch! Nectar for butterflies, food for caterpillars. Grow as perennial in Zone 8 & up. Likes heat. Cut to ground late fall to protect butterfly health and prevent Ophryocystis elektroscirrha parasites.
