ONION 'Red of Florence' --Allium cepa--
Gorgeous red Tuscan onion, torpedo shaped for easier cutting and more uniform slices! The red bulbs are also packed with anthocyanin, a healthful antioxidant. Great for planting spring or fall, are widely adapted and seem to do well in many areas. They are very mild and sweet, great for salads and pickling! A delicious Italian heirloom used to make pinzimonio, a mix of veggies served with a dipping oil and vinegar sauce. Very rare variety, technically considered long day but can be grown as an intermediate in the south. 100-120 days
